The NETGEAR M4500-32C Managed Switch is a high-performing 32-port QSFP28 (100G/50G/40G) switch, ready for use at 100G with 6.4Tbps of non-blocking fabric, perfect for AV over IP and data centre environments. It is supplied with full redundancy dual APS750W modular power supplies and six fan trays, and provides front-to-back or back-to-front rack-mount capabilities. With advanced L2/L3/L4 features, Enhanced IGMP Plus and full support for multicast and dynamic routing protocols with spine-leaf architectures, the M4500-32C managed switch is designed to integrate and work seamlessly with other M4300 and M4500 switches. The M4500-32C managed switch features reliability, scalability, and plug-and-play for AV deployments.
NETGEAR’s M4500 series is home to two 100GE-ready switches designed exclusively for Pro AV, a significant advancement in AV over IP networking.
By utilising IGMP Plus, these switches obviate the need for complex Layer 3 routing, thereby allowing for large scale systems to be designed using the familiar Layer 2 methods; AV over IP implementations, with up to 96, inputs and outputs were achievable with a single switch and Layer 2 multicast, but larger installations required cost prohibitive, data-centre quality 100G switches with complicated Layer 3 multicast; complexity and expense.
The M4500 series enables the flexibility of a matrix switch with the scalability and performance of Ethernet, capable of supporting hundreds of AV over IP devices at an incredibly lower cost; along with the intuitive NETGEAR AV interface and Engage™ Controller, your environment can now be set up faster and easier using preconfigured and optimised profiles for all major audio, video, and lighting protocols.
