The Matrox Extio 3 N3408 is a quad video transmission device that specialises in high-performance IP KVM extension over a network, sending up to four DisplayPort video signals with embedded digital audio and USB 2.0. It interfaces with the host via a single DisplayPort 1.2 input, three DisplayPort 1.1 inputs, one USB 2.0 Type B port, an audio line in and out (3.5 mm), a RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port and a Gigabit SFP slot. It has one DisplayPort 1.1 output and two USB 2.0 Type A ports for local access, and it receives power via a standard 120V AC input.
Matrox Extio N3408 is the first of its kind IP KVM extender providing 4Kp60 4:4:4 UHD or quad-display functionality over standard Gigabit Ethernet with unprecedented low bit rates.
Extio N3408 can operate as a point to point extender or as a KVM extender on an IP network; extending multiple video, keyboard, mouse, USB 2.0 and audio signals over a fiber optic or copper cable.
Its compatibility with standard laptop and desktop network switches, while cloud computing offers a significant reduction in total cost of ownership delivering high scalability with KVM matrix switching capabilities.
