The Biamp Cambridge QT-HCE Conference Patient Privacy System provides an affordable way to add sound masking to cover conversations between patient and staff in all types of medical facilities. Our direct-field sound masking technology generates a low-level background sound in waiting rooms or patient exam rooms. The masking background sound is intentional in its design to minimise the ability to understand human speech and therefore not overhear conversations from further distances. In this day and age, conducting patient interactions with as much privacy as possible, as guaranteed by HIPAA privacy regulations, is paramount to practice patients with information regarding their health, plans, finances, and other personally identifiable information. Acoustics, and sound privacy, are often improperly addressed, or simply overlooked, in waiting room and patient room enclosures where sound can easily transmit through walls, or glass.
